Mr Martin Said: Great Features - Little buttons ( Sep. 1st 2010 )
I was really excited to finally get this remote. Combining the PS3 and standard remote features is great and works perfectly for watching Netflix without having to use the game controller. Setup and programming are easy and straight forward. I had it setup for my system in (TV, Stereo, Dish PVR and PS3) in under ten minutes. I only have two complaints about this remote: 1) the buttons and labels are tiny!!! too small really, this makes it difficult to use until you memorize where the buttons are. I would be more than happy to pay an extra $20 to have a bigger remote with bigger labels and buttons and have it all backlit. 2) I have had issues with the "Punch Through" option that allows you to control the stereo volume while controlling different devices... Not sure if it is "operator error" but I have had to reprogram this feature several times now. Otherwise the remote is great and performs great.

I bouught this to control the PS3 - Netflix function.
Thats all I needed it to do.
It does so much more....
I had FUN setting this up.
I think I may have giggled doing it.
To program the remote, you simply hold the factory supplied device remote and this one "nose to nose" and press a button or two.
I had every electronic device programmed to work with this remoted in less than 10 minutes.
Everything!! Surround sound, DishNetwork, DVR, PS3
This Remote ROCKS!
Seanius Said: Great while it works ( Aug. 18th 2010 )
While I commend this company for creating such a useful product, the build quality on this remote is not that great. After a few months of light use, the bluetooth capabilities of this remote have become frustrating and extremely unreliable. For example, the remote will work fine for thirty seconds, but for the next thirty seconds no amount of button mashing will successfully make it to the PS3. This results in frustrating bouts of cursing, switching out the batteries, repairing the device, etc. None of this makes any difference, causing me to whip out my ps3 controller and dive up on the remote. Ironically, all of the IR functionality works perfectly. My stereo, TV, cable box, squeezebox, and even a few IR fans all work great, and the learning functions are very easy to program. Nevertheless, this makes the faulty bluetooth functionality all the more frustrating.
Also, good luck with technical support for this product. You cannot expect to ever hear back or ever hope to get this thing replaced.
When compared to the PS3 bluetooth remote, this device simply fails to impress with its most important feature: controlling the PS3 via bluetooth.

Able to not only program TV, cable, surround sound, but with the learning feature was also able to program wall A/C unit as well. Best purchase ever.

I don't know how anyone gave this 5 stars. I bought it over a year ago and have tried again and again to get it to work correctly, but to no avail. I even sent it back to the company and requested a refund, and instead they said they "repaired" it and sent it back. Nothing was any different about it when it came back to me. I keep hoping that magically one of the firmware updates to the PS3 will fix my remote, but nothing so far. I could live with the fact that it has a limited amount of memory to program in your own commands, if it would just work with my PS3. After all that's it's primary function right? Alas, it continuously disconnects it's connection after just a couple of button clicks. I even sent a video showing what was happening to their customer service, and you know what their response was? Don't click so fast. Well even if I click slow, it still disconnects. This is a horrible product, I'm not sure how anyone gave it 5 stars when it is so clearly broken. Now I have to spend another $20 and just get the normal PS3 remote, which is what I should have done in the first place. Their customer service is very helpful when they actually read your emails, I had several times where I would email them and they would say, oh sorry, your email got buried. Sigh, I really wanted to like this remote, but I just can't overlook these issues. Buyer beware. Also, I bought this when they were SMK-Link Electronics Corporation, I don't know if the new company is any different.
