I expected better than this from Trendnet. The power supply cord had to be spliced when better engineering could have made this unnecessary. My shipment did not contain the IR shelter (a tiny sleeve to go over the camera lens to prevent glare from the IR lights on my TV-IP312W camera). When the IR light is needed, the glare makes the image unusable. I contacted Trendnet to get more info or get the missing part. I was told they don't have spare parts and I should exchange it with the vendor to get the missing part in a new box!!!! Incredible!!!! The lack of customer support for their mistake and expecting Amazon to swap this out at either their or my expense has made me decide that I will not be making any Trendnet purchases from now on. Other than that the unit seems to be functioning just fine.
Also don't be surprised if you have to get external antenna cables and directional antenna. My TV-IP312W worked fine at that location without the housing using the included antenna. The signal I get using the TV-IP312W's antenna inside the housing is spotty at best. With the additional cables and external antenna, it works great. Adding extra items can double the cost of using this housing. So keep this in mind before getting the housing.

I bought this enclosure for a TrendNet TV-IP110W wireless camera. I was very surprised when I opened the box and saw that the enclosure was much bigger than the camera (Check the dimensions!). I was also concerned that I might need to run an external antenna because the camera would be inside the large metal casing, and I expected wireless reception to be affected. The size turned out to be benefit -- I was able to install the 110W inside the enclosure and extend the 110W's own antenna fully (pointed toward the rear of the enclosure). After mounting the camera , inside the enclosure, on my front porch, I still had a strong connection with my wireless router (located in the basement). Installation inside the enclosure also required cutting the 110W's power cord, running one end through the back of the enclosure, and reconnecting the cord. I used this operation to add about 20 feet to the length of the cord. The camera has worked flawlessly 24/7 (inside the enclosure) during many very hot days.
